So, I’ve been away for awhile. Not a good thing when you’re trying to keep a blog.
Let me explain.
Have you ever written something that was just perfect? You managed to say everything just right, you crafted the sentences and used the words in such a way as to make the punchline pop, and you ended up being immensely proud and pleased at your accomplishment? And then have you ever lost that masterpiece when the power died or your computer rebooted or the stupid program you were using decided to not do what it was supposed to do which was back up everything as you wrote it, and then when you tried to upload it, it didn’t? And then you lost the masterpiece?
Have you ever had that happen to you?
Well, it did to me, right after I finished a great, funny, perfect blog post. I even had pictures and everything. But it was gone, and there was no getting it back, and I had a temper tantrum. Big time. I refused to go back to the blog for days because I was just in a foul mood. Black cloud over my head and everything. If anyone even said the word “blog” to me, I just growled.
But I’m past it now, and although I think I understand what happened – the program is supposed to save everything in draft mode, but apparently that doesn’t work under certain circumstances – I’m going to be writing my posts in Word first, then uploading them to WordPress. Maybe then I won’t have this happen again.
Anyway. We now continue with our regularly scheduled broadcast.
